Your Guide to What is Going on in Cedar Rapids This Weekend!


It’s going to be a beautiful weekend and everyone is ready to get out of their home for some fun! Here are just few events going on in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas:


Who’s ready for some football?! Friday, February 17th the Cedar Rapids Titans are playing the Green Bay Blizzard starting at 7:05 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Center. Click here to purchase tickets. 

Football not your thing, how about a Friday Night Flick? The Newbo City Market will be showing the classic “Casablanca” from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on February 18th. They will also be showing “Wallace and Gromit: 3 Amazing Adventures” on Friday, February 24th. Come shop, eat and enjoy the movie! Click here for my info.


It’s time to ring those cowbells! Saturday, February 18th it is college night at the Stable as the Cedar Rapids Roughriders take on the Lincoln Stars at 7:00 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.


If you enjoy Blues/Rock music, wine, and delicious food, you will want to check out the Cedar Ridge Winery on Saturday, February 18th. The Wooden Nickel Lottery will be performing from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. There is no cover charge. Food and wine menu will be available for purchase. Click here for more info.


Everyone loves a good movie and there are plenty in theater right now! The Lego Batman Movie, A Dog’s Purpose, John Wick 2, and Fifty Shades Darker are just a few playing at Wehrenberg Galaxy 16 and Carmike Wynnsong 12. Collin’s Road Theater is showing: Passengers, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Fences, Trolls, Doctor Strange, and Hacksaw Ridge. Click here to see what movies are playing this weekend.


It’s going to be a great weekend to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather with family. Check out the trails at Palisades-Kepler State park and have a family picnic by the Cedar River.  Climb the tower at Pinicon Ridge Park and enjoy lunch at Montana’s in Central City. Or take a nice bike ride on the Cedar Valley bike trail.
